Accommodation
B&B l’Inconnu is a small-scale B&B with 1 room. You will always be our only guests. During your stay, you will have access to the following areas:
- Le Rimbaud – Spacious bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. The following are provided: bed and bath linen, shower and bath products, a hairdryer, and a spacious wardrobe with coat hooks.
- Le Verlaine – Lounge with a smart TV, sofa, desk and honesty bar.
You also have a separate toilet and a private breakfast room with an adjoining rooftop terrace overlooking the garden.
Free WiFi is available everywhere.
Your stay
Check-in between 4 PM and 7 PM, on weekdays between 5 PM and 7 PM. We appreciate it if you inform us of your exact arrival time. Please send a message to Klaas at +32 495 68 48 26 (WhatsApp or SMS).
Check-out: 11 AM.
Parking
There is free parking available at the back of our garden. If you would like to use it, please let us know during your check-in. The entrance to the parking lot is located at Albrecht Rodenbachstraat 11 (a side street of Noordstraat). You can open the gate with a code, which we will send to you on the day of your arrival.


Boury
If you combine your stay with a dinner at the three-star restaurant Boury, please let us know in advance. This way, we can arrange transportation for you in a timely manner if desired. Boury is located 1.8 kilometers from our B&B. We can reserve a taxi for you (this cannot be done last minute), and Uber taxis are also available in Roeselare. Many of our guests actually choose to walk: it is a pleasant walk of about half an hour.

City Park: The city park stretches over more than 4 hectares, from the city center to the Schiervelde sports complex. It is the ideal place to escape the busy city center for a while. The city park consists of 5 sections: Sint-Sebastiaanspark, Geitepark, Grote Bassin Park, the park located on Kattenstraat, and Noordhof.
Bike Route ‘Bitten by Roeselare’: Signposted cycling tour of 31 km passing local producers.
Bike Route ‘The Green Round’: A 43.6 km bike route that takes you through green spots in Roeselare, Hooglede, Staden, and Moorslede.
City Bike Route: A 24 km cycling route passing by historical, architectural, and tourist highlights of the city.
Bike Rental: It is best to reserve a bike in advance, especially if you want electric bikes. An affordable alternative is the electric shared bikes via Hoppy.
Cinema: Our Cityscoop offers a wide range of film screenings.

A day of relaxation in the sauna, hammam, or jacuzzi? Craving a massage? Here are our personal recommendations in Roeselare.
Furoke – Westlaan 490 – Private wellness. Duo treatments, sauna, jacuzzi, steam bath, and swimming pond.
Aquabello – Oude Diksmuidsestraat 22 – Private wellness center offering massages. Features two units, one of which includes an outdoor swimming pool.
Thermen R – Kaasterstraat 44 – Public wellness center offering a variety of saunas and steam baths, a natural swimming pond, jacuzzi, and sunbathing lawn. There is also a restaurant on-site. We highly recommend the sauna infusion sessions and massages.
Shopping
Roeselare has long been recognized as a shopping destination. Below is a list of our top personal favorites.
Vida Design – De Munt 2 and 7 – An interior store fully up to date with the latest trends in furniture and decoration. There is also an outdoor section available.
Dhondt – De Munt 44 – Classic design, tableware, kitchen tools, barbecue equipment, … Dhondt has an excellent reputation among hobby chefs and interior design enthusiasts.
I-COR – De Munt 22 – Everything for your home and garden.
De Kruidenmozaïek – Noordstraat 5 – Natural store. Very extensive range of dietary supplements, fresh tea, personal care, cosmetics, lifestyle, and decor.
Anna et Maman – Noordstraat 101 – Fashion, interior, and gifts.
De Zondvloed – Noordstraat 53 – Alternative bookstore.
Domus Plus – Sint-Amandsstraat 87 – Specialist in contemporary design.
Pluk – Wallenstraat 2 – A specialty tea shop where you can find the fresh tea that we serve in our breakfast room.
Koffiemakers – Ooststraat 15 – Renowned West Flemish coffee roastery with a rich history dating back to 1947. Here you can buy the superb coffee dessert that we serve in our B&B.
Ti Belle – Wallenstraat 63 – A concept store where you can find great gifts for your loved ones, as well as for yourself. There is also the option to enjoy a drink at coffee bar Odette, located in the same building. You can also indulge in homemade plant-based sweets.
Juttu – Ooststraat 20 – Another lovely experiential store. A nice mix of fashion and decor.
• Delaerestraat en Jan Mahieustraat
These side streets off the main shopping street (Ooststraat) have much to offer. They are known for more exclusive fashion brands such as Natan, Liu Jo, and Kiasma (featuring only Belgian designers). You will also find art (for example, at Martine Houtsaeger) and design (for example, at Grab a Chair).
Possible activities nearby
Cities such as Bruges, Ypres, Kortrijk or Ostend are easily accessible from our accommodation by car or train.

Roeselare, city of gastronomy. Plenty of choice, but below you will find our personal selection. Reservations are highly recommended (especially during weekends).
